Fourth Court of Appeals

On January 21, 2015, the Fourth Court of Appeals will hear oral argument in a case involving a father (Dino) who raised his two sons, with the boys’ mom, from infancy until the kids were 11 and 9.  Dino was denied any right to continue in his role as father, by the mother, after their relationship ended.  Dino was a stay at home dad, devoted to the boys, and adored by his kids.

Dino provided for the boys financially, emotionally, and spiritually.

So, why is this happening in a state that places high priority on the parent-child relationship?  Because this Dino is transgender.  This fact was known by the mother when she allowed the father-son bond to form over the life time of each child.  Now, Dino is fighting for his rights to see his children.  Dino is asking the court to name him the father of the boys.

Follow the progress of this important case on our blog as we intend to reunite these boys with their dad.
